The Carolina Panthers host the Dallas Cowboys, at Bank of America Stadium, for some bone crushing NFL football.
The Dallas Cowboys (11-2) played a disgusting ball game last week against the Philadelphia Eagles losing, 6-10, AT HOME! They now have to win both remaining road games if they want to finish on top of the NFC. Last week QB Tony Romo was 13/36 for 214 YDS with 3 INT. By the end of the game it looked like he had injured his thumb. RB Marion Barber was useless, his longest run on the day was 11 YDS. Romo had a longer run than him (16 YDS). WR Terrell Owens had just 2 catches for 37 YDS and if it wasn’t for TE Jason Witten it would’ve been worse. He had 8 REC for 113 YDS.
The Carolina Panthers (6-8) SHOCKED the Seattle Seahawks last week, 13-10, at home. They gave up on QB Vinny Tesdaverde and went with QB Matt Moore, who went 19/27 for 208 YDS. He utilized all his receivers and they looked like a totally rejuvenated team. RB DeAngelo Williams had 15 ATT for 61 YDS and 1 TD. The Panthers have won two straight at home.
Bottom Line: The Cowboys now have to play under pressure, something they haven’t had to do all year. Will Tony Romo’s thumb be an issue? They have injuries to multiple key players. The Panthers have back to back home wins and their new QB was spectacular last week.
