Tigers, Gators expected to eat up SEC Conference

July 24, 2007

The College football season is just weeks away, and until the first game is played on August 30, You Wanna Bet will feature a preview of a different NCAA Football Conference each week. This week: the SEC.

The Southeastern Conference is considered by many to be the best in NCAA Football, so it would make sense that the conference’s two divisions would be highly competitive. The SEC East and the SEC West are again expected to feature some of the most heated battles in the nation heading into the upcoming 2007 College Football season.

You can bet on the winners of NCAA Football divisions at Bet Online , which is offering a number of Football Futures wagers.

The SEC West has one of the best teams in the country, the LSU Tigers, who are also among the favorites to go all the way to the BCS National Championship game in January. The Tigers are a big favorite (-110) to win the division. LSU (11-2 overall last season, 6-2 SEC) returns 14 players from the team that tied for second in the SEC West last season.

Not to be outdone, the SEC East features the Florida Gators, the reigning national champions who beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 41-14 in the 2007 BCS National Championship. While the Gators may have a tough time shutting down offenses this season – they’ve lost nine players from last year’s defense – they are still favored to win the SEC East (-110).
