Chuck Liddell vs Keith Jardine

September 18, 2007

Chuck “The Ice Man” Liddell takes on Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine, on September 22 at the Honda Center.

Chuck Liddell is looking to rebound from his recent loss to Rampage Jackson in UFC 71. Liddell’s beaten some of the best fighters in the UFC. He’s beaten Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Jeremy Horn and Babalu. His opponent will be Keith Jardine who’s a well rounded fighter out of New Mexico. His current UFC record is 4-2. His most challenging fight to date would be against Forrest Griffin, which he won by TKO. He unfortunately lost to Stephan Bonner, by decision, and Houston Alexander by TKO.

Liddell stood his ground against Rampage Jackson but was eventually out punched by the heavy hitting Jackson. Liddell lost by KO in the first round. Jardine doesn’t have the same punching power as Jackson does, therefore he wont be knocking Chuck out. Chuck needs to come out swinging hard and fast if he wants to get Jardine off his fight plan. Chuck doesn’t want to be on the ground for this fight. To read up on more about this fight… here!
