The Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes, both sporting 1-1-1 records, will be trying to crack the .500 barrier when they meet at the Air Canada Centre in NHL action Tuesday night.

In their last games, Toronto picked up a 4-3 overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night, while Carolina opened a six-game road trip with a 2-0 loss to the Capitals in Washington

Veterans Cory Stillman and Brett Hedican are expected to return to the Capitals’ lineup against Toronto. Hedican missed the last two games with the flu, while Stillman will make his season debut after suffering minor injuries in a car accident on Oct. 2.

Toronto is 6-3-0-1 in the past 10 games head-to-head against Carolina.

The Maple Leafs took three of four meetings between the teams last season. Chad Kilger scored twice as Toronto chased Cam Ward from the net in a 6-1 rout in the last meeting on March 27. Ward is expected to start on Tuesday tonight.

In some recent betting trends, Carolina is 1-4 SU in its past five road games, and 1-4 SU in its past five against Toronto. Toronto is 10-1 SU in its past 11 home games. The total has gone under the over/under in four of Toronto’s past six games at home against Carolina.

Bet this game at BodogLife, which has Toronto as a 145-moneyline favorite. The over/under is 6.
