The Calgary Flames (-135) will host the Colorado Avalanche (+115) tonight, at the Pengrowth Saddledome, for some NHL action.

The Calgary Flames are coming off a disappointing, 4-1, loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Ex-Canuck Adrian Aucoin was the lone goal scorer for the Flames. They’ve really been struggling on offense and defense lately; their main source of goals comes from their power play. Goalie Miikka Kiprusoff is 8-9-3 with a 3.06 and a .885 SVPCT. The Flames are 5-5-2 at home and in 4th place in the Northwest Standings.

The Colorado Avalanche have lost back to back road games. They most recently lost to the Minnesota Wild, 1-4. Milan Hejduk was the lone goal scorer for the Avs. The Avs have great offense and defense, but they just seem to be struggling through this road trip. Their power play isn’t up to par! Their goalie Peter Budaj is preforming very well, he’s 7-4 with a 2.92 GAA and a .893 SVPCT. The Avs are currently 2-6-1 on the road and their 2nd in the Northwest Standings.

Bottom Line: The Avs are hurting on the road and the only thing the Flames got going for them is their home games. Look for the Flames to squeeze by the Avs.
