The Tampa Bay Buccaneers(-3) play host to the New York Giants(+3), at Raymond James Stadium, for a chance to play in the NFC Divisional game.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers(9-7) lost last week to the Carolina Panthers, 31-23, but they rested most of their starters for the playoffs so no big deal. QB Jeff Garcia has had the Giants number beating them three times straight in the playoffs, not necessarily in a Bucs jersey. The Bucs are going to have to throw the ball against the Giants 8th ranked rush defense if they want to put points on the board. Neverless fourth year RB Earnest Graham has filled in nicely for the injured Bucs RB’s as he’s got 898 YDS for 10 TD so far. The Bucs defense is the best in the league at shutting down their opponents pass game, which should prove useful against the Giants weak pass game. Their defense allows the 3rd least points in the league allowing 16 PPG.

The N.Y. Giants(10-6) will have to forget their passing game and take advantage of the Bucs 17th ranked rush defense if they want to advance. The Giants are the 4th best team on the rush. Word has it that WR Plaxico Burress has a ankle sprain and will still start, this might be a key factor for the Bucs defense. On defense their going to have to watch for the arm of QB Jeff Garcia because the Giants aren’t the greatest a stopping the pass. The Giants give up an average 21 PPG. The Giants are 7-1 on the road and they’ll need to be on their toes in the football crazed city of Tampa.

Bottom Line: QB Jeff Garcia has a great arm with great receivers who’s had the Giants number three playoff games in a row. The Giants are plagued with injuries and they should expect some more. Go Bucs!
