NCAA Football Betting: No. 21 West Virginia at Colorado

The No. 21 West Virginia Mountaineers visit the Colorado Buffaloes, a team besieged by injuries, Thursday night at Folsom Field (8:30 pm ET, ESPN).

West Virginia will be trying to bounce back after its worst offensive performance in seven years last week, a 24-3 upset loss to unranked East Carolina, a game in which the Mountaineers were 8-point favorites. The loss dropped West Virginia from No. 8 all the way down to No. 21 (AP Top 25).

The Mountaineers are a 3-point favorite in NCAA College Football betting odds at The over/under total is 57.

The Big 12 conference Buffaloes had to rally to beat FCS Eastern Washington, 31-24, last weekend. Colorado is undefeated at 2-0 SU and 1-0 ATS.

West Virginia is 10-8 against Big 12 opponents, and is 16-3 SU in its past 19 overall on the road. West Virginia is 4-1 ATS in its past five on the road. The total has gone under in five of West Virginia’s past seven on the road. Colorado is 4-2 SU in its past six at home.

West Virginia injuries include wide receiver Wes Lyons (knee, out indefinitely) and linebacker Reed Williams (shoulder, probable).

The injury list is much longer for the banged-up Buffaloes: Guard Devin Head (one-game suspension served), Tight end Riar Geer (two-game suspension served/knee surgery), and cornerbacks Anthony Wright (ankle) and Jimmy Smith (back spasms) are probable. Running back Brian Lockridge (sports hernia surgery) is out indefinitely.

Linebacker Lynn Katoa (disciplinary), defensive end Drew Hudgins (knee surgery), guard Mike Iltis (knee surgery), and linebacker Jon Major (knee surgery) will all miss the entire season, as will five other players who are academically ineligible.
